The fans of the award-winning actress took to social media to demand an extension of the term for Lustre, whom they address as their ‘President’.
“Due to massive vote buying and other election-related anomalies, we hereby extend the presidency of Her Excellency Nadine Lustre,” declared former ABS-CBN writer Jerry Gracio. His declaration got seconded by hundreds of fans who similarly approved the extension of their President’s tenure.

Lustre is a vocal supporter of Vice President Leni Robredo.
She attended several people’s rallies held for the lone female presidentiable in the recently-concluded national polls.
Cher Diokno noted that the actress has been trending online because of netizens’ clamor to extend her term.
“Nadine Lustre is trending because people are saying her term as president is extended for another 6 years,” she said in her tweet.

Twitter user @aloofandparano1, meanwhile, noted how Lustre has been a real-life Katniss Everdeen.
“Nadine Lustre is becoming the real life Katniss Everdeen. The woman is on fire.” she said in a tweet.
Everdeen is the main character who led her people to overthrow a tyrannical government in the bestselling young-adult novel and box-office grossing film series, The Hunger Games.

Together with many celebrities, Nadine Lustre, who openly endorsed Robredo, has been a subject of bashing and insults online. But in a statement, the actress affirmed that she did not regret making her choice. “I have no regrets. I made that decision and will forever stand by it.”
Last month, Lustre went back to acting via a Vivamax film, Greed. The actress is the other half of the phenomenal love team, JaDine, with Pinoy Big Brother Teens winner James Reid being the other half.
She is yet to announce a television comeback.
