Vice Ganda’s eye for talent and star potential may be working once again, as he promptly found another ‘talent’ to hone.
Pido went viral last year because of the comedian’s frequent highlighting of the cameraman’s heartbreaking love story. However, as Vice Ganda explained that his heart is fixed and ‘found’ a new love, which prompted him to stop pushing Pido into the limelight.
This year, Vice Ganda’s attention now seemed to have shifted its focus on Joseph, another cameraman in the show.
Vice Ganda has been tapping to play Joseph a role, every time a It’s Showtime’s SexyBabe contestant asked for someone to act with, as part of her talent presentation. On May 27, Joseph once again graced the spotlight to act alongside a daily contestant.
“Padami na nang padami ang fans club nya ( his fans club is getting bigger and bigger,” Vice Ganda noted.
He also suggested that Joseph should start doing live streams on the streaming platform–Kumu, to take advantage of his newfound fame.
“Otep, gusto mo ba kunan na kita ng kontrata sa Kumu? Feeling ko may magbabagsak ng diamonds dito eh (Otep, do you want to get you a contract with Kumu? I really peope will gift you a lot of diamonds).”
It is not the first time that Vice Ganda practically opened the door for aspiring talents on the show, to enter showbiz. The actor-comedian notably gets the credit for the rise of various ABS-CBN talents, including Jackie ‘Ate Girl’ Gonzaga, and Ion ‘Mr.Escort’ Perez, who later on became his real-life sweetheart.
Vice Ganda also made it possible for several child stars, like the Aaron Sunga a.k.a. as the young Yorme.
