Seasoned actors Christopher de Leon and Jean Garcia on Tuesday, June 20 were amazed by the Ruru Madrid, Shaira Diaz, Arra San Agustin, Paul Salas, and Mikoy Morales of the upcoming Kapuso series Lolong.
In the show’s press conference, Garcia said she was speechless by how committed the young cast members were.
“Wala akong masabi. Kasi they’re very very professional, 100% ang commitment nila sa project na ‘to, at hindi lang sila ‘yung pangsarili kundi nagshe-share sila.”
They were not “swapang na aktor,” she added.
“Wholeheartedly ‘yung support nila sa isa’t-isa hindi lang nitong mga bata but everyone. I’m so proud of this group, itong Lolong team, all the actors. Iba ‘yung pagmamahal at tsaka ‘yung passion, ‘yung galing, ‘yung pag-aaral na isinapuso na ginawa nila dito for Lolong.”
The actress admittedly revealed that her co-members made the series much more memorable.
“Kaya I’m very proud na talagang kasama ako dito kasi na-experience ko sila lahat. Ang Lolong ang isa sa pinaka-gusto ko, at isa sa pinakamahal ko na kasamang mga actors. Kasi they’re all very responsible.”
Meanwhile, de Leon, despite years of experience, shared that his source of inspiration was the cast. Furthermore, the actor never felt any “pa-star” among them.
“I get my inspiration from all of them actually. From Ruru, Jean, Paul, and DJ. Especially DJ. Then our director is so inspired.
“One thing really good about this is walang—although ang bida dito si Ruru, walang pa-star dito. We were like a family here during our locked-in taping. Very inspiring sila and I get my energy from them. I’d like to thank all of you for being so nice.”
Lolong will only have its pilot episode on July 4, GMA Network.
