Actor John Arcilla is poised for a new TV series after spending five years in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
The series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano recently ended on August 12, with Arcilla as the final villain. The series lasted for about 7-years.
In his Facebook post on August 16, Arcilla shared photos of his thanksgiving dinner with the Ang Probinsyano cast and ABS-CBN executives.
He then mentioned about his next series saying, “Ang Probinsyano THANKSGIVING party with the Bosses. Thank you for the 7 years and God bless everyone! See you on my next Serye! Maraming maraming salamat po. HIPOLITO signing off. God bless us all!”
Arcilla did not mention further details of the series.
FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano was replaced by Mars Ravelo’s Darna on Monday, August 15.
John Arcilla is the first Filipino to win the coveted Volpi Cup for Best Actor in Venice, joined “Ang Probinsyano” as Renato Hipolito in 2017.
In September 2021, ABS-CBN bigwigs then promised that they would produce a project for the actor.
“Thank you for this incredible honor you brought to the network. We’re so proud of you, and I promise your Kapamilyas are just as proud of you as I am. In exchange, what I want to offer you is to tell us what your dream role is, and we’ll do everything we can to make that happen,” ABS-CBN CEO and president Carlo Katigbak promised.
