Actress Yen Santos offered a heartfelt apology in her debut vlog on YouTube, acknowledging the hurt caused by her past relationship and the choices she made during that time.
In her vlog titled ‘Questions I Am Desperate to Answer,’ released on July 23, Santos directly addressed the criticism she received and took accountability without naming anyone.
“To those I hurt during that time, I’m so sorry. I have no excuse. I was wrong. I made a mistake,” she said candidly.
Her statement came after reflecting on what she described as a “nightmare” of a relationship.
“It was such a huge blessing that it ended. A big blessing that I woke up from that nightmare and walked away — because it really wasn’t worth it,” she added. “It wasn’t worth wasting my time and energy on someone who was controlling and manipulative.”
While she did not identify her former partner, Santos had been romantically linked to actor Paolo Contis in the past, whose relationship with her was widely scrutinized following his controversial breakup with LJ Reyes.
Acknowledging the pain and backlash she endured, Santos shared how the experience has changed her perspective and deepened her desire for peace.
“You know, I’m at a point in my life where peace is more important than proving anything,” she said.
Now ready to turn the page, Santos launched her YouTube channel as a way to reconnect with fans and share a new chapter of her life.
“This year, gusto kong gumawa ng mga bagong bagay na hindi ko pa nagagawa dati… para siyang season of growth and exploration for me,” she said.
“Gusto ko lang mag-share ng moments, ng experiences. Fun lang! And hopefully, in some way, sana maka-inspire ako.”
