ABS-CBN scored a “huge” success with its latest crime-suspense thriller, Dirty Linen.
With its good rating performance during its pilot week and the back-to-back record-breaking live concurrent views on YouTube, Dirty Linen is the talk of the town.
However, while it is a consistent trending topic on Twitter, several netizens also shared dismay over its theme song, sung by Idol PH Season 2 finalist Kice.
On Twitter, some netizens shared their disagreement with the production’s choice of Kice to sing their original soundtrack, Simulan.
@byxbuzz said in its tweet that while there’s no doubt Dirty Linen is superbly good, the theme song is in contrast to its high-caliber production. He also suggested that Pilita Corales‘s Kapantay ay Langit should have been a much better choice.

@balovebal also tweeted, saying that while she acknowledges Kice as a good singer, his voice does not fit the theme of Dirty Linen.

Kice was the third placer in the Idol Philippine Season 2 grand finals. After his win, he was given a regular spot on ASAP Natin ‘To alongside other new-gen singers.
With this latest achievement as the singer of the much-talked-about series Dirty Linen, Kice should take this as an opportunity to prove to his naysayers that the production didn’t make a mistake in choosing him for the project.
