Julia Montes might have her acting comeback after Dreamscape head Deo Endrinal shared a photo and a video of the actress on his Instagram account.
The photo showed Montes with Endrinal, Cornerstone Entertainment executives Erickson Raymundo, and CJ Cabungcal.
The photo got taken on Montes’s birthday on March 19, but uploaded on the 22nd.
The video showed Endrinal surprising Montes with a birthday cake.
“love you sir D ! thank you for the love,” she wrote.
Montes recently caught the interest of netizens following her cryptic posts on Instagram.
“I don’t want a perfect life. I want a happy life,” she said on March 9.
Her fans believed that she was referring to her relationship with Coco Martin.
However, some defended the actress and said her post wasn’t that serious.
“Grabe. Nag post lang, may drama na kaagad kayong naisip? Di ba pwedeng Like lang nya yung quote? Di ba pwedeng walang connect si Coco dyan? Di ba kayo nag eemote sa SM nyo kahit wala naman meaning? Kayo lang ba may karapatan? Ewan ko sa inyo,” a netizen commented.
Montes, who was well-received in her return to television through FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano last year, is presently occupied with the production of her comeback movie, Topakk, which is under the direction of Richard Somes.
In a private interview with Push in December 2022, the Kapamilya star revealed that the movie had motivated her to become more involved in the entertainment industry.
“Sa ginagawa ko ngayon, mas ma-action. Siguro ang ma-se-share ko lang sa buong pag-fi-film ko ng movie, na-inspire ako to work ulit. ‘Yun ‘yung parang naging dating sa akin while doing that film. Mas makikita pa nila ako this 2023.”
Fans are eagerly waiting for ABS-CBN official announcement of her upcoming projects.
Montes took a break from acting in 2018 after the television series Asintado, in which she starred, ended its run. She took a hiatus to focus on personal matters, spend time with her family, and pursue further studies.
She went to Germany to visit her father during her break and enrolled in a culinary course. She returned to the Philippines in 2020 and made a comeback on television through the longest-running series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
“Before Asintado, gusto ko na (umalis). Sinasabi ko na, parang gusto kong puntahan si Papa. Parang gusto ko i-try lang ‘yung magpahinga lang du’n (sa Germany),” the actress said in a 2021 interview.
“Ta’s ang joke ko, Gusto kong magpakaanak lang. ‘Yung ‘ di ako magwo-work, ta’s anak lang ako muna. And then ‘yun nga, after Asintado, sabi ko, parang gusto kong i-fill ‘yung missing years with Papa. Kasi ang tagal, eh. Hindi ko ine-expect na magkikita kami.”
