On March 7, Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid pointed out how Eat Bulaga wouldn’t work as a noontime show without Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon.
At the media conference for Beautéderm’s five-year partnership with Sparkle, Madrid cited the rumors he heard regarding the issues faced by Eat Bulaga.
“May mga naririnig lang po ako na mga balita, pero siyempre for me na kahit papaano, kahit saglit, naging part po ako ng Eat Bulaga, kung ano naman po ‘yung pinagdadaanan nila ngayon, I’m really hoping po na malampasan po ito dahil hindi naman po ito para kung kanino man, para po ito sa mga Dabarkads talaga, sa mga manonood.”
He then noted that the noontime show wouldn’t be Eat Bulaga without the trio of Tito, Vic, and Joey.
“Ay sobrang nakakalungkot po ‘yun, I mean hindi po kumpleto ang Eat Bulaga kapag wala pong TVJ. Simula noong bata ako na nanonood ako ng Eat Bulaga, nandoon na po sila. So I don’t think– na magiging Eat Bulaga siya kung walang TVJ.”
He then expressed sadness over the rumors he heard regarding the possible future of Eat Bulaga.
“Kahit papaano medyo nakakabalisa din, napapaisip ka, di ba? Parang hindi mo alam kung anong mangyayari. But, I’m pretty sure malalampasan din po ‘yan. Magiging okay din po lahat. Sabi ko nga hindi lang naman po ito para kung kaninong tao, or personalidad sa industriya, para po ito sa mga manonood talaga.”
Reports suggest that there is incoming rebranding for the noontime show following the changes in the management of TAPE Inc., especially with President Antonio P. Tuviera (APT), which resulted in the possibility of Tito, Vic, and Joey departing from Eat Bulaga.
Beautéderm, headed by President and CEO Rhea Anicoche-Tan, celebrated its five-year partnership with Sparkle (formerly GMA Artist Center) by renewing the contracts of Kapuso stars.
These stars include Cassy Legaspi, Bianca Umali, Ruru Madrid, Rayver Cruz, and Sanya Lopez.
They also introduced new endorsers such as Patricia Tumulak, Buboy Villar, Thia Thomalla, Ysabel Ortega, and EA Guzman to help spread brand awareness.
