Aljur Abrenica admitted that he was at fault for the failure of his marriage to Kylie Padilla.
In an interview with Toni Gonzaga’s Toni Talks on April 2, the actor confirmed that he cheated on his wife.
Gonzaga asked, “Alam mo bang ang iniisip ng mga tao, the reason why your marriage fell apart is because you cheated?
“Ano ang reaksiyon mo pag yun ang iniisip ng tao? The reason why your marriage fell apart is because ikaw ang may kasalanan. You cheated.”
Abrenica answered, “Yeah, totoo naman, totoo naman yun.
“On my part, oo. Ina-admit ko yun, may pagkakamali ako.”
But the actor said that his biggest mistake was not giving his family the attention they needed.
“The biggest mistake na naano ko ay hindi ako nagkaroon ng time sa kanila [family].
“Noong nagkaroon ako ng takot to provide. Nawalan ako ng oras, so nawala yung komunikasyon,” he said.
Abrenica and Padilla tied the knot in 2018. They have two sons—Alas and Axl.
In February 2021, speculations on the couple’s separation circulated.
In July 2021, Robin Padilla confirmed the couple broke up on a YouTube vlog of Ogie Diaz due to a third party.
When asked if he tried to fix their marriage, Abrenica said that he tried, but it did not work out.
“Mahirap kasi hindi na talaga magwo-work.
“Mare-realize mo na ‘I have to accept’ kasi hindi na talaga.
“Kasi ginawa ko na lahat. At siya rin, ginawa na rin niya lahat. In fairness to her,” he said.
Aljur Abrenica is currently in a relationship with sexy star AJ Raval.
They confirmed their relationship on Valentine’s Day, February 14, more than a year after being romantically linked.
On the other hand, Kylie Padilla, is rumored to be in a relationship with a tattoo artist after she posted about her trip to Thailand in December 2022.
