Kapamilya actress Shaina Magdayao revealed on March 28 that Coco Martin’s directing style was inspired by Brillante Mendoza.

At the premiere night of ‘Apag,’ which LionhearTV covered, Magdayao highlighted how Martin taught her about scriptless acting while working in FPJ’s ‘Ang Probinsyano’.

Magdayao expressed gratitude for landing her role in ‘Apag’ and the chance to work with Martin and Mendoza.

She expressed her gratitude to Director Brillante Mendoza and to some of the country’s most respected actors and actresses, particularly Coco Martin, who paved the way for her to be a part of this project.

Magdayao stars in the Brillante Mendoza film ‘Apag’ with Coco Martin.

The film also features Gladys Reyes, Jaclyn Jose, Julio Diaz, Carlos Canlas, Lito Lapid, Mark Lapid, Gina Pareño, and many more.

Under the direction of Brillante Mendoza, ‘Apag’ opens in cinemas on April 8 during the Metro Manila Summer Film Festival.
