Ian Pangilinan, one of ABS-CBN’s rising stars, expressed his gratitude to the network for providing him with numerous opportunities and roles in popular shows.
The ‘Gaya Sa Pelikula’ actor recently appeared in the MMFF film, ‘Family Matters’. He is now part of the cast for the second season of ‘Love Bites.’
During the press conference for ‘Love Bites’ Season Two, Ian Pangilinan shared, “Sobrang exciting and sobrang thankful ako na they were giving me the chance. Actually, ever since bata ako, it’s always been my dream to do this, especially in movies.”
“So sobrang laking thing for me ng Family Matters kasi it was just like nakaksabay ko mga beterano sina Ate Agot, Sir Nonie. Grabe, ever once nila pinaramdam sakin na alam mo yun, na parang kailangan ‘catch up,” the actor added.
Being part of the ‘Family Matters’ project was fulfilling for Pangilinan. In Love Bites season two, he stars alongside new Kapamilya star Kim Rodriguez in the 20-minute episode ‘Wedding Dress.’ The actor commended his co-star, saying, “Every scene namin together – Hindi ko na-feel ever na nagpe-perform.”
When asked about the lessons viewers can learn from their ‘Love Bites’ episode, he said, “Siguro ang pinakamalalaman sa episode, minsan, it’s just about a leap of faith.”
He had an awesome time working on ‘Love Bites’ Season Two, which was set in beautiful Oriental Mindoro. According to the actor, the beach and the real story behind the episodes make the upcoming project different. He said, “Every project naman is a new experience. Well, nasa beach siya. Same with MMK, it’s coming from real people.”
The ‘Wedding Dress’ episode is about Kath (Kim Rodriguez), who bought a wedding dress without a groom, not even a boyfriend in sight. Shortly after, she meets Eman (Ian Pangilinan), a kind pastor.
