ABS-CBN’s popular noontime show, It’s Showtime, is just a heartbeat away from reclaiming the top spot in the noontime race.
Based on the latest preliminary overnight rating data from the Nielsen NUTAM People survey, It’s Showtime is only 0.2 percent away from surpassing the country’s longest-running noontime show and securing the number one position once again.
On Thursday, June 8, It’s Showtime achieved 3.4 percent rating, just 0.1 percent lower than Eat Bulaga! ‘s (EB) 3.5 percent. This marks the narrowest gap that the Kapamilya noontime show has achieved against Eat Bulaga! throughout the week.
On Monday, June 5, It’s Showtime garnered a rating of 3.2 percent compared to Eat Bulaga! ‘s 5.2 percent, resulting in a 2 percent gap between the two shows.
The following day, Tuesday, June 6, the gap narrowed down to 1.2 percent as It’s Showtime scored 3.0 percent against EB’s 4.2 percent.
By Wednesday, June 7, the margin had decreased even further to 0.8 percent, with It’s Showtime at 3.5 percent and Eat Bulaga! at 4.3 percent.
The question now is: can It’s Showtime maintain its upward trajectory and ultimately take the lead in the noontime ratings? Or will the revamped Eat Bulaga! quickly regain its footing and pull ahead once again?
