Lian Paz, a former ‘EB Babes’ dancer shared her gratefulness on social media after her daughters Xonia and Xalene Contis brought home academic achievements.
The younger daughter Xalene recently graduated elementary “with high honors”, which Paz shared on her Instagram account last May 26.
Paz wrote:
“Yiyin, Thank you for always doing your best in school! I am proud of your achievement, always have! You have been consistent and graduating with high honors is really something. Congratulations!!! Always remember to honor the lord in everything that you do! 🙏🏻
Takecare of the wisdom the lord gave you! ☝🏻Mama is always here for you in everything. You know that..

Paz also posted pictures of her eldest daughter Xonia during her recognition ceremony last May 31. The eldest showed amazing feats after finishing at the top of her class.
Paz shared the pictures with the caption:
“Congratulations Our Dear Ate Xonia!!! My Nia2x! You ended your first year in high school as Top 1 in your class and overall Top achiever in your Grade level! You have always been consistent being excellent in school, I am amazed with your perseverance and I am grateful to God for that gift to you. Continue to honor the lord in everything! I am proud of you xonia! always have!!!

Both IG posts about her daughters’ achievements were showered with congratulatory messages from friends, families, and other netizens.
Netizen were quick to notice the photo on Paz IG post where Xonia’s surname is visible.
One commented: “Bitbit pa apelyido wala naman ambag ahahaha anyway congrats.. you have long way to go.. Aim high!”
Paz replied that her children already want to change their surname.
She wrote in her reply: “asking na nga po ang mga bata to have it changed 😢”
Paz’ children Xonia and Xalene are daughters she had with estranged husband and new ‘Eat Bulaga!’ host, Paolo Contis.
Paz revealed in an exclusive interview with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last June 2022 that Contis did not provide sufficient aid in raising their children.
Contis, on the other hand, shared in his interview in Fast Talk With Boy Abunda last January 2023, that his ties with his two daughters were severed.
“The last time I saw my… Xonia and Xalene, mga seven, six or seven years ago when we went to Cebu. And then, naputol na naman”, he said.
In the same interview, Contis admitted that he is afraid that his daughters would hate him after being apart for years. He also added that he loves his children and he intends to make up for their lost time. Contis also thanked Paz and John Cabahug, Paz’ current partner for doing a great job in raising the kids.
Paz and Contis got married in 2009 in Isabela. They were married for four years before separating. Contis was the first to file an annulment case in 2012 until Paz succeeded him after, filing another annulment case in 2019.
Paz revealed in her interview with PEP that the case was postponed during the pandemic due to the lockdown and only started resuming its process after the pandemic settled down.
