In the debut episode of TVJ (Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon)’s ‘E.A.T’ on TV5 last July 1, Vic Sotto had a slip while handing prizes to a fan.

After shaking the noontime programming in the country and taking a month-long hiatus from television, the iconic TVJ trio along with other former ‘Eat Bulaga’ hosts returned to noontime entertainment via their TV5 show ‘E.A.T.’
Sotto interviewed an audience member in one segment of the show and asked if he was sad at TVJ’s short hiatus after leaving TAPE, Inc.
Juanito, a ‘Juan for All, All for Juan‘ winner who has been a loyal fan of ‘Eat Bulaga!’ naturally answered, “Syempre, bossing!” The fan previously had a viral video after altering the show’s theme song in relation to TVJ’s sudden departure.
Sotto asked Juanito to sing his altered version of the theme song.
“Mula Batanes nagkagulo, lahat sila ay nagtalu-talo. Isang linggong walang tuwa, buong bansa nabulaga!” the fan sang, earning cheers from both the audience members and the hosts.
Sotto, who was overjoyed at Juanito’s act of support, had a slip and called their new show “Eat Bulaga!” while handing him his prizes.
“Okay regalo galing sa Eat Bulaga! dagdag pa five thousand at mga t-shirt,” the actor-host said.
It took a while before Sotto realized his mistake but co-hosts Wally Bayola and Jose Manalo were all smiles by his side as they handed the prizes. Sotto could not help but smile upon realizing his slip.
Bayola joked Sotto, “Galing sa?” to which the actor-host wittingly responded, “Oh eto para sa’yo (Juanito) din galing sa Hanabishi.”
After the audience interview, Sotto returned to the stage to signal their commercial break. He started the line “Magbabalik tayo dito sa…” and the co-hosts continued with, “E.A.T!” Sotto deliberately kept silent and did not continue the line along with the other hosts.
Manalo jokingly asked, “Saan ba talaga, Bossing?”
Sotto answered, “E.A.T.”
“So ano na? Kase isusulat ko to eh,” Bayola joked before cutting to the commercial break.
Sotto’s slip made rounds on Twitter with many fans reacting to the actor-host’s mistake.
One fan said in a quote tweet, “Well nothing wrong with that because they are still the original mababawi din naman nila yan.”

Another fan remarked that the slip was understandable because ‘E.A.T’ is similar with ‘Eat Bulaga!’
When we watch E.A.T., we sense a distinctly familiar, poignantly nostalgic, delightfully entertaining, homey EAT BULAGA vibe that's always panalo & simply amazing while that other show exudes an esmyuskee, just chew it, walang tulugan feels best described by Lavinia's famous line

After TVJ and the other mainstays resigned from TAPE Inc., the former ‘Eat Bulaga!’ hosts have been claiming ownership of the ‘Eat Bulaga’ branding, asserting that the name was coined by Joey de Leon.
The TVJ show on TV5 currently has ‘E.A.T.’ as its temporary name, but there is still no official title card on the opening billboard of the show. The LED screen on the stage also has ‘TVJ,’ signifying the name’s temporary setup.
