Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda continues to go the extra mile in promoting their Metro Manila Film Festival 2025 entry ‘Call Me Mother’, personally visiting cinemas even as the MMFF season nears its close.

On January 7, Vice surprised moviegoers during a block screening of ‘Call Me Mother’ at Cinema 2 of SM City Telabastagan in San Fernando, Pampanga, drawing cheers and excitement from the audience. The visit underscored Vice’s hands-on approach to supporting the film, which has already emerged as a box-office and critical success.
The special screening was hosted by Rhea Anicoche-Tan, president and CEO of Beautéderm, where Vice Ganda currently serves as brand ambassador. Anicoche-Tan said the event was part of her company’s long-standing commitment to support the film projects and advocacies of its ambassadors.
After the screening, Vice personally thanked the audience and dedicated the film to mothers of all kinds. “Thank you so much for taking time to be with us tonight and thank you so much for choosing our movie, Call Me Mother. We offer and dedicate this movie sa lahat ng mothers, sa lahat ng uri ng mothers dito,” Vice said. They added that the film was meant to entertain, make audiences laugh, and leave them emotionally moved.
The two-time block screening gave fans and Beautéderm supporters the opportunity to watch the film exclusively and meet Vice Ganda, who won Best Actor at the 2025 MMFF for their performance in the movie. ‘Call Me Mother’ has also reportedly surpassed the ₱300 million mark at the local box office.
Audience members praised the film’s performances, describing the cast’s acting as emotionally powerful and resonant. Anicoche-Tan herself was seen visibly moved during the screening, reportedly shedding tears as the story unfolded.
Beyond promotional efforts, Anicoche-Tan emphasized that such screenings are part of Beautéderm’s advocacy to support the local film industry while strengthening camaraderie within her community and team.
Directed by Jun Robles Lana, ‘Call Me Mother’ continues its strong theatrical run nationwide and is slated for international screenings later this month.
