E.A.T. Productions has once again found itself in controversy due to a slip of profanity that was picked up from the remote feed of “Sugod Bahay Mga Kapatid.”

During a segment featuring Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Tugue Zombie visiting a household today (August 10), a clear profanity from a person in the barangay can be heard before host Jose begins his spiel, momentarily startling other hosts in the studio.
The incident was uploaded by netizen @AltStarMagic on X (formerly Twitter), accompanied by the caption, “May malutong na nagmura sa national TV so Lala Sotto anong aksyon natin 💁🏻♀️” (Translation: “Someone cursed loudly on national TV, so Lala Sotto, what’s our action?”)

While many netizens commented that Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) Chairperson Lala Sotto-Antonio might not take action on this, some claim that another E.A.T. mainstay, Maine Mendoza-Atayde, liked the mentioned post.

Screenshots circulating show that this post appeared in Maine Mendoza’s likes tab, but there could be various explanations for this. It could signify Maine’s agreement with the netizens’ perspective that even instances of cursing slipping through on national TV should be addressed, or it could have been accidental or possibly even a different account with a similar name.

The question remains whether Maine will comment on this matter. With the increasing number of issues being raised about E.A.T. lately, one wonders if the MTRCB will take action on these concerns.
