On August 10, actress Mercedes Cabral detailed her observations with the sexy stars from earlier to today’s Vivamax actresses.

At the media conference for ‘Kahalili,’ which LionhearTV covered, Cabral remarked that sexy stars today are more confident in showing their skin on screen.

“When it comes to actors, I think not like– siguro like maybe, I can say that. Or siguro sa akin, it makes me feel na parang they’re more comfortable na parang siguro to show–show skin, when it comes to films like Vivamax.”

She surmised it might be because the directors prioritize their actors’ comfort when filming sexy scenes.

“I think one of the– isang factor rin talaga is because ‘yung mga director namin, so far ‘yung mga nakakatrabaho ko with Vivamax, I am very grateful with the directors I’ve worked with kasi pina-prioritize nila na maging komportable ‘yung mga actors nila, especially the women. Kasi, very, very important na they ask us na hanggang saan ‘yung kaya mong gawin, kaya mong ipakita.”

She also noted how their director Bobby Bonifacio Jr worked with Cabral’s co-stars when filming their intimate scenes.

“Especially with direk Bobby eh, like he’s not going to– which I really, really appreciate, kasi kung may hindi ka gusto sa script niya or may kailangan gawin ng character mo, he’s not going to force you to do that you know. He’s going to compromise with his actors na okay, pag hindi ka komportable, kailangan pa rin gawin ‘to.

“Kasi there are scenes na ganon na kailangan talaga gawin, so he really compromise, which I’m very grateful, and I think it’s very important kasi it makes us you know na may pakiramdam pa rin na we can, bilang actor, na kahit papaano, or not kahit papapaano, may control pa rin kami sa amin and sa kung anong gusto namin at hindi namin gusto.”

As for the technicalities of indie and sexy films from before, Cabral asserted that the genre still had the same process and guts when telling a story.

“Well, so far, sa mga na-obserba ko naman, parang wala namang different pagdating sa technical and ‘yung proseso. Everything, it’s still the same. Siguro ‘yung mga stories din ngayon, well I really can’t compare stories din, kasi there are stories din before that are very, ‘yung mga dark din, matatapang din, so wala, wala akong napapansin na like huge difference. For me it’s still the same.”

As for their upcoming film, ‘Kahalili’ stars Stephanie Raz, Cabral, Sid Lucero, Millen Gal, and Victor Relosa.

Under the direction of Bobby Bonifacio Jr, ‘Kahalili’ streams via the Vivamax app starting on August 18.
