Cassy Legaspi has briefly commented on the rumors circulating about her strained relationship with Kyline Alcantara. Kyline is the girlfriend of Mavy Legaspi, Cassy’s twin brother.
The controversy began when observant netizens noticed that Cassy and Kyline unfollowed each other on Instagram on August 14, 2023. This sudden move to sever online connections raised questions, particularly since both families, including Cassy and Mavy, had previously been seen together with Kyline on various occasions.
The two couples, Cassy and Darren Espanto, along with Mavy and Kyline, have enjoyed double dates in the past.
During a media conference promoting their upcoming film, ‘When I Met You In Tokyo,’ an official entry in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2023, Cassy and Darren faced questions about the situation, particularly the reasons behind their Instagram unfollowing.
When asked if Darren was the cause of the unfollowing, Cassy initially hesitated and expressed her reluctance to discuss the matter.
In Darren’s response, he stated, “Alam niyo po, may mga bagay na hindi na kailangan pang pag-usapan. I mean, whatever happened in the past.”
Cassy added, “Is in the past.”
Darren continued, “Yeah, and if you like everyone to move forward from, you know, from what happened in the past.”
Cassy agreed, saying, “Lahat naman tayo, chill,” implying a desire to move past the issue.
Regarding her current relationship with Kyline, Cassy commented, “I think, civil.”
When asked if she supports Kyline as her brother’s girlfriend, Cassy refrained from providing a clear answer, leaving the matter unresolved.
