The long wait is over! Welcome 2024 and party with some of the country’s biggest stars as GMA Network brings back the iconic and much-awaited New Year Countdown in SM Mall of Asia this Sunday, December 31.
Years after the COVID-19 restrictions, the Kapuso Network will hold a live celebration once again at the SM Mall of Asia Grounds at Seaside Boulevard. Everyone is invited to join and witness a night of awesome performances and fireworks displays!
Leading the “Kapuso Countdown to 2024” special are Asia’s Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose, Total Heartthrob Rayver Cruz, and Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista. Also joining them are First Lady of Primetime Sanya Lopez, formidable actor Ken Chan, multi-talented actress and singer Rita Daniela, bankable leading lady Andrea Torres, and Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Marquez Dee.
Ready to steal the hearts of viewers and live audiences with their song and dance numbers are Sparkle Queen Bees Rabiya Mateo, Lexi Gonzales, and Faith Da Silva.
Filling the night with irresistible charm and intense energy are Sparkle GMA Artist Center’s drama stars and teen idols: Kristoffer Martin, Jeff Moses, Michael Sager, Allen Ansay, Sofia Pablo, Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, and Kyline Alcantara.
Bringing world-class musical numbers are GMA’s powerhouse performers—Garrett Bolden, John Rex, Jeremiah Tiangco, and the divas of Queendom—Rita, Jessica Villarubin, Thea Astley, Mariane Osabel, Hannah Precillas, and Julie Anne.
The fun and all-out celebration continues with some of the well-loved and successful Pinoy Pop Groups, 1st.One, Calista, Hori7on, and 1621BC.
Completing the night are the entertaining performances of Julie Anne and Rayver before the hosts lead everyone in a countdown to the New Year and a spectacular fireworks show.
Meanwhile, to ensure that everyone will enjoy and be safe in this grand celebration, GMA and the Philippine National Police (PNP) are closely working together. As part of the security protocols, the event will not be open to persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol, persons in possession of illegal drugs, and children below 3 feet tall.
Some items are also prohibited inside the event grounds including weapons, flammable objects, spy gadgets, hard drives, professional video/audio recording equipment, professional photo cameras, lasers, monopod/selfie sticks, big bags, big posters, banners, large costumes, food bought outside the venue, illegal substances, vape, and pets.
Love and holiday spirit will surely pour in as GMA Network opens the coming year with solid Kapuso fans. Catch “Kapuso Countdown to 2024” this December 31, 10:30 p.m. at the SM MOA Grounds in Pasay City. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and admission is free.
