On January 10, Kapuso stars Liezel Lopez and Martin del Rosario discussed whether they would continue their ZarZa pairing from Voltes V: Legacy in their series Asawa ng Asawa Ko.
At the media conference for Asawa ng Asawa ko, which LionhearTV covered, Lopez hinted at a ‘big twist’ in the series that may continue their on-screen pairing of Zardo and Zandra from Voltes V: Legacy in their upcoming series.
“Nako, may malaking twist pa po ‘to na hindi pa po namin pwedeng sabihin. Pero, ‘yun nga po sobrang happy po kami doon sa nabuong love story ni Zardo at Zandra, kumbaga ‘yung mga fans po namin doon ay sinusupport din kami dito.
“At ayun, I think, parang naka-affect din po ‘yung ZarZa na love team po namin sa takbo ng istorya namin dito because noong story con, parang iba po ‘yung connection ng character namin, pero ayun nga po naiba, at hindi pa nga po pwedeng sabihin, pero twist po ‘yun.”
Martin highlighted how much he appreciated working with Lopez again.
“Ako naman, na-experience kong makasama sa Voltes V: Legacy. So, noong nalaman kong magkasama kami dito, so parang natuwa ako kasi sobrang kumportable na namin sa isa’t isa.”
He then noted the differences between his character Zardo in Voltes V: Legacy and Jeff in Asawa ng Asawa Ko.
“Eh dito kasi sa character ko kasing si Jeff, simula pa lang na-establish na may gusto siya kay Shaira. Pero, kaya nga mahirap ‘yung character ko dito, kapatid ko si Jordan pero love ko si Shaira, pero may times din na medyo naging baliw din siya. Parang alam na natin kung paano tatakbo ‘yung istorya.
“Mabait po si Jeff, but alam ninyo naman, the things you do for love, sometimes, parang nagiging, parang napupunta ka sa maling desisyon.”
