On February 9, Vivamax actor Nico Locco admitted he was a cheater before.
At the media conference for their Vivamax film Salitan, which LionhearTV covered, Locco disclosed his promiscuity in the past while discussing how he related to his character.
“‘Yung character he’s bored sa relationship niya, and mahilig siya sa exciting sexual adventures. Kaya, he ends up having relationship with Angelica, ‘yung secretary niya.
“Sa relation sa self ko, I would say dati akong cheater. I cheated sa relationship ko–a lot of people know that in this room here, but I think the character was very relatable to what I used to be like five years ago.”
He surmised that he may have been overwhelmed by the attention of female fans when he arrived inAngelica Hart, Nico Locco, Matthew Francisco, Vern Kaye, Salitan, Bobby Bonifacio Jr the Philippines.
“And I pulled on that when I internalized this character, I thought of myself dati and the characters ko dati. And since the character that I had ‘yung mga recent films kung bakit ako nag-cheat and because I was–bored in my relationships and I wasn’t manly enough to end it. So, I ended up cheating on my partner, which is really unacceptable. Kaya I could really relate to this character in that sense.”
He then noted how his mindset changed after five years of staying in the Philippines.
“Mas satisfied, mas satisfied, in a weird way. I realized relationships aren’t about the glamour and all the fun times. Kasi, a lot of times, it’s boring, or nag-aaway kayo. So, you have to understand na it’s not always going to be fun and exciting, and an adventure. You will always have those downtimes.”
He also noted how his mindset matured, especially with his relationship with fellow Vivamax star Christine Bermas.
“Siguro dahil sa partner ko right now and the way she appreciates me and respects me, hindi ko na-experience ‘yan sa dating partner ko. Kaya, sobrang thankful ako kay Christine kasi she’s such a great woman, very, very understanding.
“I’ve made mistakes in our relationships, but she continues to understand me, and she understands na lalaki ako– men grow a little bit slower than women. So, I think it’s an improvement overtime. So naiintindihan din niya, kaya thankful ako sa kaniya.”
As for their Vivamax film, Salitan stars Angelica Hart, Nico Locco, Matthew Francisco, and Vern Kaye.
