Celebrated actor Dingdong Dantes expressed his enthusiasm for upcoming collaborations between GMA Pictures (movie arm of GMA Network) and his production company, Agosto Dos, during his contract signing event on May 9.
Dantes and his production company have already had the pleasure of working alongside GMA Network for the Manila International Film Festival (MIFF) entry ‘Firefly,’ which bagged several awards in Canada.
“Excited din ako sa mga collaborations with GMA Pictures. Napakaganda nu’ng experience as ‘Firefly’ at looking forward ako sa mga p’wede naming gawin together,” he said during his contract renewal held at GMA Network Studio.
He also mentioned his eagerness to participate in GMA Network’s regional TV and Integrated News initiatives.
“Sa regional TV, sa GMA Integrated News, excited din ako na makasama sa kanilang Masterclass series na umiikot sa Luzon, Visayas, at Mindanao para ma-share ang k’wento ko, mga kuwento namin dito sa set sa GMA. So, ‘yun ang mga some of the projects na pup’wedeng mangyari in the near future,” the actor added.
Beyond acting, Dantes is keen on exploring co-production opportunities with GMA Network through his company, Agosto Dos. He referenced their successful partnership on the show ‘Jose and Maria’s Bonggang Villa’ as a foundation for future projects.
“Nabanggit ko, halimbawa, ‘yung sa GMA Pictures. Excited ako sa mga collaboration in terms of me not just being an actor but also in co-production. Kasi nabuksan na rin naman na nila ang pinto sa Agosto Dos, sa Jose and Maria’s Bonggang Villa; dahil nag-partner kami doon. So, doon ako excited na magkaroon din ng mga ganoong klaseng shows, which Agosto Dos can co-produce with GMA, excited ako,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Dantes continues his hosting stints for the shows ‘Amazing Earth’ and ‘Family Feud.’ He will also host the upcoming singing competition ‘The Voice Kids Philippines.’
