Kapuso stars Ruru Madrid and Bianca Umali recently shared insights into their relationship’s early challenges, including a widely talked-about “parking lot incident,” during an appearance on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ on June 20.
The couple, now able to laugh off the controversial event, revisited their past struggles, highlighting the intense jealousy and misunderstandings that tested their bond.
Bianca recounted to Boy Abunda, “Maramaming nakaaalam nitong pangyayari na ‘to and it was very controversial at nangyari ‘yun wala pa kaming isang taon.”
Boy Abunda prompted for more details, “Ito ‘yung?”
“The controversial parking lot,” Ruru interjected, laughing.
“Ito ‘yung parking lot controversy. Wala pa kaming one year no’ng nangyari ‘yun. Siguro parang a month before anniversary,” Bianca continued.
Though they didn’t delve into the specifics of the incident, Ruru admitted it was a pivotal moment for him. “Siguro ‘yung pinakamatinding natutunan ko rito is that nalaman ko kung ano talaga ‘yung kahalagahan ni Bianca para sa akin. I’m not saying na kinailangan niya pang mangyari ‘yun para lang makita ko ‘yung kahalagahan niya,” he said.
“Pero para siyang blessing in disguise na para bang no’ng nakita ko siyang nasaktan, no’ng nakita ko siyang umiiyak, parang part of me nadurog e. Nangako ako sa sarili ko na hinding-hindi ko na hahayaan na umiyak pa itong babaeng ‘to kahit kailan.”
Bianca, visibly touched, responded, “Ang sarap sa puso.”
The couple revealed that despite their pain, they couldn’t bear to be apart and chose to work on their relationship. “Ako rin, sa totoo lang, kahit na I was in pain, hindi ko rin kaya na mahiwalay sa kaniya. But that whole year after the first year, ‘yun ‘yung tinatrabaho namin na at the end of that year, na-realize namin na sa hirap at ginhawa, kung ano man ang mali, kung ano man ang masakit at masaya sa mga puso namin, pinili namin na mag-stay kasama ang isa’t isa,” Bianca explained.
Now celebrating their sixth anniversary, Ruru and Bianca are grateful for overcoming the trials in their relationship together.
Currently, Ruru Madrid stars in the action series ‘Black Rider’ on GMA Prime, while Bianca Umali is preparing for her anticipated role in ‘Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre.’
