Seasoned actress Celia Rodriguez recently sat down with Ogie Diaz for an interview that has since gone viral, where she expressed her admiration for Angel Locsin, whom she believes to be the “Best Darna.”
The conversation touched on various topics, including Celia’s praise for Coco Martin. However, her commendation of Angel Locsin stood out. Celia praised Angel’s commitment to her role as ‘Darna,’ highlighting that she performed her own stunts, even at the risk of personal injury.
For Celia, Angel Locsin’s portrayal of the iconic superheroine surpasses those of other notable actresses like Vilma Santos and Marian Rivera, both of whom Celia has also worked with.
Despite some fans disagreeing with her choice, Celia remains firm. “‘Yun ang choice ko eh. Why are you correcting me?” she responded to critics.
This isn’t the first time Celia has expressed her admiration for Angel. In previous interviews, she has consistently named Angel as her top choice for ‘Darna.’
