‘It’s Showtime’ host Kim Chiu recently shared reflections on the breakup between ‘EXpecially For You’ contestant Amber and her ex-boyfriend Emil, who opted to prioritize basketball over their relationship.
The couple’s separation unfolded because Emil chose to focus extensively on basketball, which eventually led to neglecting his relationship with Amber.
Amber candidly expressed her feelings, revealing, “Sobrang sakit po, parang ginagawa ko na lang ‘yung best ko na intindinhin siya. Kasi, parang pinapanghawakan niya rin yung word na nagpaalam siya, una pa lang, bago maging kami na mabu-busy siya sa basketball..”
She continued, “So, ayun na lang po, iniintindi ko na lang po lagi na kasi basketball nga talaga yung gusto niya. ‘Tsaka iniitindi ko din po pala na kasi nandiyan ‘yung basketball.”
“Kasi, buti po sana kung basketball tapos ako. Kaso, hindi po e. basketball, tropa, accads, family, ako ‘yung last.”
Reacting to their story, Kim Chiu weighed in on the dynamics of breakups, commenting, “Minsan kasi mapapa-isip ka rin talaga, e, na mas maganda yung dahilan ng paghiwalay n’yo ay babae o tao. Hindi, e, laro! ‘Yung, ‘Bakit ganun? Hindi ba ako kasing saya ng isang ‘yan?'”

During the conversation, Vice Ganda posed a thought-provoking question to Kim, asking where she would prefer to be chosen if she were in a situation where she could be replaced: by a game or by a person.
Kim’s response was heartfelt and direct: “Sa tao! Para may panggalitan talaga ako. Para, makita ko talaga kung ano nangyayari sa kaniya. ‘Yung laro kasi, hindi, e.”
Vice Ganda responded with a humorous caution, “Be careful what you wish for.”
Kim lightened the mood with a playful response, “Nangyari… charot!”
She further elaborated, “Mahirap kasi yun sa laro ka ipinagpalit. Sa isang bagay na hindi naman nakakapagsalita.”
