The most chaotic yet most loved section is coming to Viva One.
School starts early on January 3, 2025 because the much-awaited adaptation of “Ang Mutya ng Section E” is here. The phenomenal Wattpad title, written by Lara Flores aka Eatmore2behappy, is composed of three books with a total of 348 million reads. Viva One’s adaptation of Book 1 will be equivalent to 16 episodes.
Last November 08 was the grand cast reveal, which gained positive reactions, translating to millions of engagement across all social media platforms. Netizens lauded “Ang Mutya ng Section E” for being one of the best casting choices of an adaptation.
The series is top-billed by showbiz royalty Andres Muhlach as Mark Keifer Watson, the class president of Section E. He is the troublemaker head of the class, and although he is brainy, he is also quite a menace. Unfortunately, a girl named Jay-Jay is going to be at the receiving end of his unfriendly acts.
Ashtine Olviga plays Jay-Jay Mariano (short for Jasper Jean), a transfer student in Higher Value International School. Due to her bad records, she ends up in the lowest section, with 16 rowdy boys as classmates! Each of them will really push her limits, but Jay-Jay has promised her aunt to never start trouble. Self-defense, however, is another story.
Rabin Angeles plays Yuri Hanamichi, a JaPinoy and Keifer’s best friend, putting him second in command of the class. Kind and smart, he belongs to a wealthy family in Japan. They are business partners with Jay-Jay’s family. Yuri will develop a soft spot for Jay-Jay. The lead stars are surrounded by interesting and good-looking characters. Andre Yllana is Aries, Jay-Jay’s cousin. They used to be close. Heart Ryan is Ella, Aries’ girlfriend. She was the first girl to be in Section E, but was transferred to Section A. Axel Torres is Angelo, older brother of Aries. He’s the CEO of the Fernandez Corp. Charles Law is Ci-N, 14 years old, the youngest inSection E. He’s been accelerated, and will become a good friend of JayJay.
Completing the unruly Section E are: Frost Sandoval as David, Kurt Delos Reyes as Felix, Ethan David as Calix, Keagan De Jesus as Eman, Martin Venegas as Denzel, Nic Galvez as Kit, Sam Shoaf as Edrix, Yanyan De Jesus as Drew, Daniel Ong as Mayo, AJ Ferrer as Rory, Michael Keith as Eren, Kyosu Guinto as Josh, and Derick Ong as Blaster.
Promising young Viva talents will add more excitement and tension to the story. Like Angela Muji, Sarah Joe, Jastine Lim, Rafa Victorino, Alex Payan, Love Yauco, Zeke Polina, and JD Axie. While Viva’s senior actors are expected to always put on a show. Completing the cast are Yayo Aguila, Katya Santos, Rommel Luna, Lander Vera Perez, and Nanette Inventor.
