Rising Japanese boy band ONE OR EIGHT reveal the details of their highly-anticipated new single “KAWASAKI”, featuring renowned US rapper Big Sean, set for release on 6 December. This release marks Big Sean’s first collaboration with a Japanese artist, showcasing the GRAMMY-nominated rapper and seven-time BET Award winner known for his work with global icons like Justin Bieber and Katy Perry.

ONE OR EIGHT is an eight-member boy group featuring Japanese members MIZUKI, NEO, REIA, RYOTA, SOUMA, TAKERU, TSUBASA and YUGA. The group’s name ONE OR EIGHT is a reference to a Japanese phrase meaning “All or Nothing”.
With the tagline “BET ON YOURSELF”, they are set to make their mark on the world as a group of friends with big dreams. They infuse hip-hop and pop effortlessly and epitomise Japanese culture through their choreography, lyrics and streetwear aesthetic.
Earlier this summer, the group shared the performance video for “KAWASAKI” on YouTube, which has surpassed 10 million views and charted at #1 on the Japan Billboard Heatseekers songs chart. Building on this momentum, they announced their official debut with the release of their new single, “Don’t Tell Nobody”, and was produced by Ryan Tedder (Taylor Swift, Tate McRae, Adele, Jonas Brothers) and David Stewart (BTS), featuring rap lyrics by Lucien Parker (Kanye West x Ty Dolla $ign “STARS”).
