GMA Network Senior Vice President Annette Gozon-Valdes shared her excitement after stepping inside the iconic ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ (PBB) House for the first time during the contract signing ceremony between GMA Network and ABS-CBN on January 28.
The landmark partnership marks the first-ever collaboration for the reality show’s celebrity edition, bringing together Kapuso and Kapamilya stars in celebration of ‘PBB’s’ 20th anniversary.
During the event, Gozon-Valdes couldn’t help but express her amusement at finally setting foot inside Bahay ni Kuya, sharing how it felt like an experience she didn’t want to end.
“Thank you ABS-CBN for welcoming us here in the PBB House. Iba pala ‘yong feeling makapasok sa Bahay ni Kuya, parang ayaw mo na umalis.”
Her playful remark drew laughter, prompting PBB host Robi Domingo to tease her about the possibility of becoming a housemate.
“Narinig po ni Big Brother ‘yan, Atty. Annette. Sigurado po ba kayo?”
Bianca Gonzalez, another mainstay PBB host, chimed in: “Actually, pagkatapos po nito ay ang maleta po ay ready na.”
In her speech, Gozon-Valdes acknowledged the growing partnership between GMA Network and ABS-CBN, citing previous successful collaborations, including: ‘Unbreak My Heart’, the hit teleserye starring Jodi Sta. Maria, Joshua Garcia, Gabbi Garcia, and Richard Yap; ‘Hello, Love, Again’, the blockbuster film starring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards; ‘PBB Celebrity Collab Edition’, the latest and most anticipated project from the two media giants
“We are very excited to collaborate with ABS-CBN to bring to the Filipino audience the longest-running reality show, Pinoy Big Brother, especially as it celebrates its 20th anniversary this year,” she said.
She also pointed out that the project coincides with another major milestone: “Incidentally, Sparkle is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Abangan n’yo ang pagsasama ng mga Kapuso at Kapamilya housemates sa teleserye ng totoong buhay. Malapit na malapit na sa GMA.”
While no official list of celebrity housemates has been revealed yet, fans are already eager to see who from GMA Network’s Sparkle and ABS-CBN’s Star Magic will enter the ‘PBB’ house.
