Despite their upcoming wedding, real-life couple Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles have decided to continue their unconventional living arrangement of sleeping in separate bedrooms, a setup they have maintained even while living together.
The revelation came during the press conference for their latest film, ‘Un-Ex You’, directed by RC Delos Reyes and set for release on April 9, 2025 under Viva Films.
While most married couples traditionally share a bedroom, Molina and Napoles believe that having personal space is key to maintaining a healthy and lasting relationship.
“Ang setup namin ni Je, we do live together pero may separate rooms kami,” Kim shared.
“I grew up independent because my family was in Saudi, and Je has always been used to living alone since he’s an only child. So pareho kaming sanay mag-isa.”
Napoles supported Kim’s perspective, emphasizing that having individual spaces strengthens their bond rather than weakens it.
“Si Kim ang may suggestion nito, which is tama naman. Partnership kasi ‘to, pero individual muna bago naging partnership, so kailangan meron ka ring time para sa sarili mo,” he explained.
For the couple, having personal space within a shared home allows them to maintain their independence while nurturing their relationship.
Kim and Jerald admitted that they experience arguments like any couple, but they ensure that disagreements do not escalate or affect their relationship negatively.
“Of course, may mga pagtatalo. May mga taasan ng boses, pero hindi puwedeng marinig sa kabilang condo! Haha! But it’s part of the relationship,” Jerald joked.
“Pero ang importante, bago matulog, we always make sure na may napag-usapan at may natutunan kami sa isa’t isa,” he added.
Unlike some celebrity couples who take their disputes to social media, Kim and Jerald prefer to resolve their issues privately, avoiding cryptic posts that might fuel speculations.
The couple, who have been together for nearly a decade, have gone through three breakups but always found their way back to each other.
“Malaki kasi ang puso ni Jerald,” Kim said when asked about their past reconciliations.
“Masarap kasama si Kim,” Jerald replied with a smile.
