Carmelle Allyza San Juan Collado, the dynamic vocalist from Camarines Sur, has soared to stardom as the grand champion of Tawag ng Tanghalan: The School Showdown, crowned on January 18, 2025, on ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime.

Her journey from a hopeful in various singing competitions to TNT’s top winner showcases her immense talent, resilience, and captivating stage presence. With her soulful style, precise vocals, and ability to rival seasoned performers, Carmelle is poised for greatness. Her rising visibility on ASAP Natin ‘To and her first overseas gig at Passport to The World in Saudi Arabia spark excitement for her bright future

Born on July 18, 2007, Carmelle’s passion for singing led her to compete early. In 2019, she shone as the first runner-up in The Voice Kids Philippines Season 4, displaying vocal maturity beyond her years. She also competed in the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA), honing her skills globally. The COVID-19 pandemic paused her momentum, as she focused on studies, but her determination never faltered. “Noong nag-pandemic, tumigil ang pasok ng trabaho kaya naman pinili ko munang mag-focus sa pag-aaral,” she shared on It’s Showtime.
In 2024, Tawag ng Tanghalan: The School Showdown offered Carmelle a second chance. Representing King Thomas Learning Academy, she joined the competition, styled as a school rivalry with phases like Entrance Examinations (Daily Rounds) and Final Examination (Grand Finals). Despite an early elimination, Carmelle roared back through the TNT Resbak rounds, advancing to the finals with grit reminiscent of past champions like Janine Berdin and Lyka Estrella.
Her TNT performances dazzled, blending vocal precision with emotional depth. In the grand finals at ABS-CBN Studio 10, Carmelle’s Aretha Franklin medley—“(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” “Chain of Fools,” and “Ain’t No Way”—earned a standing ovation and a 98% score from 17 judges, including Louie Ocampo and Ogie Alcasid. She outscored finalists Isay Olarte (97.7%) and Arvery Love Lagoring (92.5%), clinching the title of TNT: The School Showdown’s first grand champion.
Carmelle’s talent shines in her soulful style and flawless vocal delivery, holding her own against veterans. Her TNT win has boosted her presence, from regular performances on ASAP Natin ‘To to her international debut at Passport to The World in Saudi Arabia, alongside artists like Regine Velasquez. These milestones highlight her readiness for the global stage, with fans and industry insiders buzzing about her potential.
Carmelle’s journey reflects a star who thrives under pressure, her voice a powerful instrument of emotion. As she transitions from TNT to broader platforms, her trajectory suggests a career filled with chart-topping hits and major performances.
The excitement for her next chapter is remarkable—whether in music, television, or international tours, Carmelle Collado is a name to watch, destined to redefine Filipino artistry with her extraordinary talent.
