Multi-awarded actor Dennis Trillo believes authenticity is key—both in life and in his craft.
Speaking during the grand launch of his endorsement for Belle Dolls’ Zero Filter Sunscreen on May 8 at Solaire North, Dennis Trillo shared how he values transparency and sincerity, not just in skincare but in personal relationships and acting.
“Siguro maa-apply ko rin yun sa trabaho namin bilang artista,” he said when asked if he lives by a “zero filter” philosophy.
For Dennis, the same principle applies when he’s in front of the camera: “Kapag uma-acting ka na, kailangan no filter, wala ka nang inhibitions para maibigay mo yung tamang performance na kailangan mong gawin.”
Fresh from his Best Actor win at the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival for ‘Green Bones’, Dennis reflected on how the recognition has reinvigorated his career.
When asked how he maintains reliability as an actor, Dennis said, “Pagiging seryoso sa trabaho, pagiging dedicated sa ibibigay na kailangang gawin. Also yung pag-a-accept at pag-a-adjust sa set.”
He also acknowledged that fame comes with pressure and criticism, but he chooses to stay focused.
Belle Dolls founder and Beautéderm CEO Rhea Anicoche-Tan recalled how she first met Dennis at an intimate birthday party with his wife, Jennylyn Mercado, also a Beautéderm ambassador. Impressed by his kindness and dedication, she decided then to tap him as the next face of Belle Dolls’ skincare line.
For Dennis, his favorite thing about the product is its weightless feel: “Pagkalagay after a few minutes parang feeling ko walang nakalagay sa mukha.”
As he approaches his 44th birthday on May 12—which falls right after Mother’s Day—Dennis also shared a heartfelt message for wife Jennylyn:
Kaya happy Mother’s Day sa ‘yo, mahal. Utang namin lahat ito sa ‘yo.”
