Filipino fans have found even more reason to admire ‘Superman’ star Rachel Brosnahan after the actress spotlighted two local non-government organizations—Angat Buhay and Pawssion Project—on her Instagram Stories following her visit to the Philippines.

Brosnahan, who plays Lois Lane in the upcoming DC film, visited Manila on June 19 along with ‘Superman’ actor David Corenswet, director James Gunn, and DC Studios executive Peter Safran as part of the movie’s global promotional tour.
In a heartfelt Instagram story, Rachel wrote, “We loved getting to bring #Superman to all of you and [David Corenswet] and I loved reading your message about your local superheroes!”
She followed it up by encouraging her followers to support the work of these organizations.
“I’m going to share the organizations that were mentioned the most and if you’re able to and interested in joining us in supporting their work, I’ll include donation links as well. We love you. Thank you,” she added.

Among the NGOs she shared were Angat Buhay, founded by former Vice President Leni Robredo, which focuses on community engagement and inclusive education; Pawssion Project, an animal welfare group that rescues and rehabilitates abused and abandoned animals; and Save the Children, which provides health, education, and protection programs for vulnerable children.
In response, the organizations expressed their gratitude online.
Angat Buhay said: “Thank you, Rachel, for amplifying our cause.”
Pawssion Project posted: “Thank you for recognizing the work we do for the animals! And to everyone who mentioned us, thank you!”
Save the Children added: “We’re grateful for your support and the heart you bring both on and off screen.”
Rachel’s gesture was warmly received by fans.
The ‘Superman’ team’s next stops include Rio de Janeiro, London, Paris, and Los Angeles. The film opens in Philippine theaters on July 9, 2025.
