Fresh off his award-winning performance in the action-thriller ‘Incognito’, Kapamilya star Daniel Padilla is gearing up for a busy season ahead—both on screen and on stage.
During the contract signing for his latest endorsement with KPC Express Corporation held July 28 at Shangri-La at the Fort, the 30-year-old actor confirmed he is deep in preparation for a new movie project.
“May niluluto kami after Incognito. Hindi ko pa puwedeng sabihin kung sino makakasama ko sa pelikula, pero pinaghahandaan namin ito. Gusto namin, ‘yung pinaka-magandang project para sa akin,” Daniel shared.
Having recently won the Outstanding Asian Star award at the 2025 Seoul International Drama Awards, Daniel admitted he misses the big screen despite enjoying his time on the Incognito set.
“Miss na miss ko na gumawa ng pelikula. Masaya ang series pero my heart nasa pelikula,” he said.
Following the success of his action-heavy performance, Daniel is looking to ride that momentum into his next film.
“Nandito ang momentum natin ngayon. I really do enjoy action. After Incognito, ang hirap bumalik,” he revealed.
Still, he hasn’t closed the door on returning to the genre that helped define his earlier career.
“I’ve had my share of romcoms… Kung maganda naman at sobra ako nagandahan, why not? I love that genre,” he added. “Pero magkakaroon na ng meeting. Very soon malalaman kung ano ang project, kung ano maganda gawin para sa ‘kin.”
Aside from his film comeback, Daniel is also preparing to hit the global stage with D-TOUR, his upcoming U.S. concert series, which will highlight his musical roots and personal evolution as an artist.
At the KPC event, Daniel also opened up about his growing interest in entrepreneurship, especially with logistics company KPC now expanding its operations to Dubai.
“Sumagi din sa isip ko na magnegosyo, pero hindi ko mapagsabay kasi umaararo rin ako sa trabaho. Mahalaga na meron kang mentor para may gagabay sa’yo sa pagnenegosyo.”
He added, “I think magiging customer tayo ng KPC kasi marami rin tayong produkto na nanggagaling sa ibang bansa. Dahil sa KPC, mapapadali ang buhay ko sa pag-import ng mga products para sa negosyo ko.”
