As ABS-CBN mark the end of an era with the farewell lighting of its iconic Millennium Transmitter on July 9, Darren Espanto was among the Kapamilya stars who took to social media to pay tribute to the historic tower and the network that helped shape his career.

The ‘It’s Showtime’ and ‘ASAP’ mainstay reposted several moments with fellow artists, colleagues, and ABS-CBN executives, captured during the emotional gathering inside the network’s compound.

The event drew together generations of Kapamilya talents who wore their network pride on their sleeves—literally—donning their favorite Kapamilya shirts for one last photo opportunity beside the beloved tower.
In their posts, Darren and other celebrities expressed deep gratitude to ABS-CBN for the opportunities, memories, and career milestones they experienced under its banner. Many offered prayers and messages of hope as the media giant transitions into a new chapter following the sale of part of its Quezon City property to Ayala Land earlier this year.
Darren, who rose to fame as a finalist on the first season of ‘The Voice Kids Philippines’, has since evolved into one of the busiest young stars in the country. Now celebrating over a decade in the industry, he juggles daily appearances on ‘It’s Showtime’, Sunday performances on ‘ASAP’, and a slate of solo concerts and international tours.
He recently launched his latest album, ‘Ikaw Pa Rin’, a 13-track LP that chronicles his personal and musical journey. The album’s launch became a love letter to his fans—aptly timed with this period of reflection and gratitude.
