Metro Manila witnessed its biggest drone show yet as DreamSky Entertainment Inc. staged a breathtaking aerial display of 700 drones for New Era Philippines’ 10th anniversary celebration on July 12 at the SM Mall of Asia grounds.

The spectacle, produced by the country’s leading drone show provider DreamSky Entertainment, served as a tribute to New Era’s evolution as a global lifestyle brand. Despite a  technical delay at the start, the show resumed successfully, dazzling thousands of onlookers with formations that lit up the night sky in perfect sync with music and visual storytelling.

LionhearTV had the opportunity to send questions to DreamSky Drones President Gayle Oblea, who proudly shared the company’s vision and the technology behind the magic.

“We use the most advanced drones specifically designed for coordinated aerial light shows,” Oblea explained. “Each unit is equipped with high-intensity LED lights and GPS-based positioning for precise formations. Our operations run on advanced flight control software that allows us to pre-program complex animations and synchronize them to music and visual cues in real time.”

With a massive show staged in a busy urban area like MOA, safety was top of mind. “Flight safety is our top priority. All our operations are conducted under CAAP-certified permits with strict adherence to local aviation guidelines,” Oblea said. “We conduct thorough site inspections, risk assessments, and flight simulations before every show.”

According to Oblea, DreamSky’s edge lies not just in technical capabilities but in artistry and storytelling. “We don’t just fly drones; we tell stories in the sky. Every show is uniquely conceptualized, artistically choreographed, and custom-built to reflect our client’s message and audience.”

As the official distributor of Crostars and MIRS Innovate, two of the world’s top drone technology firms, DreamSky is uniquely positioned to bring global innovation to Philippine shores.

Oblea sees drone services rapidly expanding into various sectors: “With increasing demand for immersive and eco-friendly experiences, drone shows are set to become a staple at major events nationwide. DreamSky aims to lead this evolution by continually innovating our tech, expanding our fleet, and pushing creative boundaries—making the Philippines a regional hub for world-class drone entertainment.”

Reflecting on their collaboration with New Era, Oblea shared, “This isn’t just a launch—it’s a leap. We’re not just lighting up the night. We’re launching a new era of brand storytelling—one that soars above the ordinary.”

Some of her most powerful soundbites echoed DreamSky’s commitment to transformation and impact: “If your brand is aiming for impact—don’t just make noise, make the sky speak for you.”

“The sky is no longer the limit. It’s our stage.”

“Every brand has a story. Ours is helping you tell yours—with light, motion, and magic in the air.”

The event, which marked one of DreamSky’s largest shows to date, also highlighted growing global trends in drone entertainment: 3D animation, interactive tech, synchronized soundscapes, and eco-conscious alternatives to traditional fireworks.

New Era Philippines, known for its deep ties to sports, music, and streetwear culture, chose the drone show as a way to celebrate its decade-long journey in the country. The brand continues to be a symbol of personal style and expression in the local fashion and lifestyle scene.
