Beverly Labadlabad’s camp denies Elias J. TV’s claims; show producers warned of possible lawsuits

The dispute between talent manager and businesswoman Beverly Labadlabad and her talent, reggae frontman Elias Lintucan—better known as Elias of Elias J TV—continues to stir conversations on social media.

In a recent media conference attended by Elias and his lawyer, Atty. Israelito Torreon, the singer’s camp claimed that his management contract with Labadlabad was no longer valid. Atty. Torreon asserted that Beverly was no longer Elias’s manager.

This was swiftly refuted by Labadlabad’s legal counsel, celebrity lawyer Atty. Ferdinand Topacio.

Beverly Labadlabad,” Topacio said.

Atty. Ivan Patrick Ang, in-house counsel for Labadlabad, supported this position, saying: “If we follow the argument that the mere filing of a case to declare a contract null and void and the management relationship is outrightly cut on the same day, then we will be facing a scenario that after a case for declaration of nullity of marriage is filed, pwede na mag-asawa muli ang plaintiff or defendant mismo sa araw na yon.”

Beverly, also known as Evelyn, agreed with her lawyers’ statements. She revealed plans to file breach of contract and estafa charges against Elias and the entire Elias J TV band.

She has already taken legal action by filing cyberlibel cases against several vloggers and content creators whom she accused of releasing “below-the-belt” attacks against her.

Labadlabad, flanked by Attys. Topacio and Ang, faced the media on August 6, 2025, at the Century Seafood Restaurant in Malate, Manila, to address the controversy.
