Kapamilya actor Kyle Echarri has put an end to persistent rumors surrounding his close relationship with veteran actor Piolo Pascual, firmly denying speculation that there’s anything romantic between them.
Speaking to members of the press after the grand mediacon for his upcoming film 100 Awit Para Kay Stella, Kyle clarified that he considers Piolo nothing less than family.
“I never really have to answer what the people say. Mali iniisip ng mga tao. Kapatid ko ’yan. He is a brother, a best friend of mine,” he said.
“Ano isipin ng tao, sa kanila na. Kami, alam namin magkapatid kami. We are best friends.”
Kyle also emphasized that their bond grew stronger during a particularly painful time in his life—the passing of his younger sister.
“He came into my life at a very significant time when I was losing my sister. Ilan lang po ang nakaalam sa pinagdadaanan ko noon,” he shared.
“One of the brothers that helped me out through the scenes na masakit at mahirap gawin dahil sa nangyari sa kapatid ko.”
The two have worked together on several projects, deepening their friendship both on and off screen. They are also set to reunite in an upcoming project, details of which have yet to be revealed.
When asked about his love life, Kyle shared that he’s currently focused on personal growth.
“There is always time for love, pag feel mo. Sa ngayon, I am taking my time building a relationship with myself, inner peace, and loved ones around me. Hindi kailangan meron ako agad.”
Kyle Echarri stars in the much-anticipated ‘100 Awit Para Kay Stella’ alongside JC Santos and Bela Padilla. The film, produced by Viva Films, hits cinemas on September 10.
