Lampara Publishing House is set to highlight its commitment to education and literacy at this year’s Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) with a special seminar featuring renowned educators Teacher Daisy Jane Calado and Teacher Victor Villanueva, authors of the widely used Magbasa Tayo and Let’s Read series based on the Marungko Approach and Systematic Phonics.
The seminar will take place on September 12, 2025, at Meeting Room 6 of the SMX Convention Center, where the teachers will present their newly developed educational resources:
K-3 Filipino and English Reading Packages — a comprehensive reading program designed for Kindergarten to Grade 3 students, particularly ideal for remediation and foundational literacy.
Math-Talas: Numeracy Learning Kit — a separate set of materials that includes flashcards, storybooks, a workbook, and a pre-assessment tool/teacher’s guide. This package focuses on numeracy and is aimed at strengthening students’ math skills at an early age.
As part of the session, Teacher Vic and Teacher Daisy will also share insights from recent training sessions conducted in Zambales and Tingloy, Batangas, highlighting the effectiveness of the K-3 Reading Packages & Magbasa Tayo/Let’s Read Series in improving literacy among Filipino learners.
