This week’s Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale delivered one of its most thrilling episodes yet with the highly anticipated Lipsync Lalaparuza Slaysian Smackdown — where queens go head-to-head in the ultimate lipsync battle while showcasing their charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent. In the end, it was Brigiding who reigned supreme, outlasting all five of her fellow competitors in the Lipsync Lalaparuza, claiming her second RuBadge of the season, and the coveted Golden Balut.
Brigiding first chose her Divine sister Viñas Deluxe as her opponent, performing RuPaul’s Queendom in front of their fellow Divine sister, Precious Paula Nicole. It was a true Divine Divas showdown, charged with emotion and sisterhood, with Brigiding ultimately securing her place in the winner’s circle. In the final round, Brigiding went up against Arizona and Suki to Silvy’s Queen, where she once again dominated the stage, clinching not only the RuBadge but also the Golden Balut, which gave her the power to save a queen from elimination. In a move equal parts strategic and heartfelt, she chose to save her fellow Divine sister, Viñas Deluxe.
“Some might say I saved Viñas just because she’s my sister. And while yes, that’s true, but it’s also because she’s my greatest competition. I want us to continue this journey together, to push one another, to challenge ourselves, and to rise side by side,” Brigiding shared.
Brigiding’s victory at the Lipsync Lalaparuza cements her as one of the fiercest frontrunners of the season. With 2 Rubadges under her belt and consistent high placements in the competition, she has proven herself to be a very formidable contender. Backed by over a decade of drag experience, from her theater roots to her years of performances in O-Bar and even on international stages, she brings to the stage not just technique, but artistry, authenticity, and heart.
“The art of lipsyncing is more than just knowing the words to a song,” Brigiding shared. “It’s transforming a song into an experience. It’s about channeling emotion, storytelling through movement, and creating such a deep connection with the music that the audience feels every beat right along with you.”
Brigiding has continued to showcase the resilience, artistry, and sisterhood that define her drag journey. As the competition heats up, one thing is certain: Brigiding is not just here to compete — she’s here to shine the brightest.
