Kapuso actress Carla Abellana once again joined the chorus of voices expressing outrage over corruption, reacting to a photo shown during the House Infrastructure Committee hearing on alleged anomalous flood control projects on Tuesday, September 9.

On her Instagram story, Abellana reposted a screenshot from GMA Public Affairs showing bundles of ₱1,000 and ₱500 bills stacked on a table inside a DPWH office.
Alongside the image, she wrote: “Ayun ‘yung pera ko o. Nakita ko na.”
The photos were presented during the hearing by former Bulacan assistant district engineer Brice Hernandez, who claimed the cash was intended for delivery to certain officials as part of project kickbacks. When asked by lawmakers, Hernandez remarked, “Sa office po namin, normal po ‘yan.”
Hernandez went on to name Senators Jinggoy Estrada and Joel Villanueva, DPWH Undersecretary Robert Bernardo, and District Engineer Henry Alcantara as alleged recipients of funds. Both senators have since denied the accusations, with Hernandez previously cited for contempt by the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee over inconsistencies in his statements.
Abellana’s remark quickly spread across social media, with netizens lauding her for once again voicing the public’s frustration. Earlier, she had also reacted to the Discaya couple’s flaunting of luxury cars, including two ₱16-million Lincoln Navigators, amid their alleged involvement in the flood control controversy.
