Cherry Pie Picache made it clear that she and former partner Edu Manzano remain on good terms, even after their breakup nearly two years ago.
At the media conference for her upcoming film ‘The Last BeerGin’, held Thursday, September 18, at Hydro Super Club Wave Restaurant in Quezon City, Picache gamely answered questions about Manzano, who had recently caught netizens’ attention.

When asked if she still interacts with him on social media, she smiled: “Depende sa pinu-post niya.”
She went on to share that they saw each other for the first time in two and a half years during the Araw ng Pagkakaisa ng Pelikulang Pilipino event last August. “We saw each other there. We went out. And it felt good after, what, two and a half years na halos hindi kami nagkita,” she said.
According to Picache, they still exchange messages once in a while. “Birthday niya nung September 14, so I greeted him. Hanggang dun lang… Pero okay kami.”
Manzano, she added with a smile, even asked about her love life. But Picache stressed that their relationship ended without bitterness: “Okay naman kami, e. Hindi naman kami nag-away or anything. Maayos naman. Kasi hindi naman kami nag-away. You know, he’s a good man. Maayos kami… walang away.”
Picache and Manzano first dated in their younger years, rekindled their romance in 2021, and confirmed their split in December 2023 without disclosing the reason.
While the personal question drew laughs, the main focus of the press event was ‘The Last BeerGin’, a dramedy written by Mel Mendoza-del Rosario and directed by Nuel Naval. Produced by Cineko Productions and Obra Cinema Productions, the film follows five strangers whose all-night drinking session unravels their secrets, heartbreaks, and truths.
Picache stars as Tere alongside JC Santos as RG, Zaijian Jaranilla as Isaac, Xyriel Manabat as Sandy, and Pepe Herrera as Hilo.
‘The Last BeerGin’ opens in cinemas nationwide on October 1.
