Kapamilya singer-actor Marlo Mortel has released his second studio album, dubbed “The Artist,” which he considers a personal exhibit of his existence and experiences.

“Listening to ‘The Artist’ is more than just streaming music; it’s walking through an art gallery. It explores four sides of my life, split into four exhibits, waiting for you to interpret and immerse yourself in,” said Marlo in a social media post.

The 10-track album released under Star Music offers a glimpse into his life, game, love, and pain that have shaped him into who he is today.

He said, “Just like the songs that ‘made the cut,’ each one came from personal experiences that shaped me.”

“The Artist” features the key track “Wala Nang Iba,” which expresses an unwavering and incomparable love for someone special.

The album also includes Marlo’s collaboration with Krissee, called “Manhid,” and a song featuring KD Estrada, “On My Way.” Other tracks are “Good Karma,” the title track “The Artist,” Laro-laro, Habol-habol,” “Tag-init,” “Adik Na Rin,” “Dito Ka Lang,” and “Huling Ngiti.”

The newly dropped LP has already accumulated over 100,000 all-time streams on Spotify as of writing.

“The Artist” follows Marlo’s “Serye” album, which featured his hit song “Sana Ikaw Na Nga,” which became part of the soundtrack of “Pinoy Big Brother Otso” and “The General’s Daughter.”

Listen to Marlo’s personal journey featured in “The Artist” album, out now on music streaming platforms.
