Kapamilya star Ivana Alawi once again captured the spotlight — this time for scaring audiences — as the official teaser for ‘Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins’ from Regal Entertainment, Inc. took social media by storm.

The teaser, which dropped recently, quickly trended online as fans praised its chilling atmosphere and shared excitement over the return of the iconic horror franchise to the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) lineup.
Ivana stars alongside Richard Gutierrez in the third episode of the anthology film, which explores stories that span the past, present, and future. The first episode features Janice de Belen in a tale set in an 18th-century beaterio haunted by evil forces. The second episode stars Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin in a present-day Halloween story where trick-or-treating turns into a deadly night of terror. The final segment — led by Ivana and Richard — jumps 25 years into the future, where a new breed of aswang has taken over the country.
‘Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins’ marks the 17th installment of the beloved ‘Shake, Rattle & Roll’ series, which has been thrilling Filipino audiences for over four decades.
Directed by Shugo Praico, Joey De Guzman, and Ian Lorenos, the film boasts an ensemble cast including Carla Abellana, Manilyn Reynes, Loisa Andalio, Ara Mina, Arlene Muhlach, Ysabel Ortega, Ashley Ortega, Fyang Smith, JM Ibarra, Karina Bautista, Sassa Gurl, and many more.
The teaser’s release has reignited excitement among horror fans who grew up watching the franchise every Christmas season.
Meanwhile, Ivana — who just returned to the Philippines — is set to resume filming with Richard this Monday as the cast wraps up production ahead of the December MMFF premiere.
