Miss World 2013 and actress Megan Young-Daez is using her platform to remind women that true sisterhood means lifting each other up, not tearing one another down — especially in a world still obsessed with impossible beauty standards.

During her launch as the newest brand ambassador of Sisters Sanitary Napkins and Pantyliners, Megan spoke passionately about empowering women through empathy, confidence, and mutual support.
“Sisterhood in general is supporting one another. Be a girl’s girl. Uplift one another, support your sister, push her when she needs encouragement. Don’t push them down, lift them up. Sino pa ba ang magtutulungan if tayo-tayo lang?” she said.
She also urged women to be more mindful of how they speak about others, stressing that beauty is subjective.
“Not everything needs to be said. Minsan basta may ma-comment or ‘mema’ lang. Supporting one another is enough. What may be beautiful for myself may not be for someone else — and that is okay,” she shared.
Now a first-time mom to baby Leon, Megan opened up about her personal journey of self-acceptance after giving birth earlier this year with husband Mikael Daez.
“We are our worst critic. Lagi natin pinupuna sarili. Even me, after giving birth, sabi ko, ‘bakit ang laki pa rin ng tiyan ko?’” she recalled.
She admitted it took time to embrace her post-pregnancy body, including stretch marks and weight changes, but she now focuses on surrounding herself with positivity.
“Somebody who does not know me now will compare me from before. I would get comments like, ‘What happened?’ Hindi ko na lang pinapansin. I stick to people who will uplift me rather than focus on the negative,” Megan said.

For Mega Soft Hygienic Products Inc., Megan represents everything Sisters stands for — authenticity, compassion, and confidence.
“Megan’s strength and sincerity reflect what Sisters has always stood for,” said Aileen Choi Go, President of Mega Soft Hygienic Products Inc. “As we celebrate our 25th year, we’re proud to have her inspire Filipinas to embrace womanhood with pride and confidence.”
Through this collaboration, Sisters celebrates its 25th anniversary by reinforcing its mission to care for and empower Filipinas across generations.
“Becoming a mom has completely transformed my perspective,” Megan reflected. “I’ve learned that taking care of yourself allows you to take better care of others—and that’s something Sisters helps women do.”
The partnership will roll out nationwide campaigns highlighting comfort, care, and confidence — the values that Sisters and Megan Young both proudly represent.
