Rising star Angeli Khang reached a major milestone in her acting career as she attended the premiere night of ‘Mandirigma’, her first-ever PG-rated film, held on December 11 at SM North EDSA.

Known to many as the “Vivamax Queen,” Khang steps into new territory with the action-drama, signaling a turning point in her evolving filmography. In ‘Mandirigma’, she plays the lover of Sahil Khan’s character—a role she described as having deeper meaning beyond romance.
The actress also reflected on her five-year journey in the industry, sharing how the film represents a breakthrough moment for her.
“Ang sarap sa feeling, ang saya sa puso na after working for five years, finally nabigyan ng isa sa mga magandang projects, which is Mandirigma,” she said.
The premiere night was equally significant for Sahil Khan, who makes his official debut as a leading man in the film.
“Super saya ko and super na-appreciate ko, kasi first time ko na bida ako sa pelikulang ito… very excited ako,” Khan shared. He also expressed his gratitude to his co-star, adding, “I really appreciate na she is my leading lady.”
Also starring in ‘Mandirigma’ are Mark Herras, Aileen Santiago, Rob Sy, Ramon Christopher, Jeffrey Santos, Ishaku Ishaya, Via Veloso, Natasha Ledesma, Rash Flores, and Ivan Ponce.

With its themes of love, resilience, and personal struggle, ‘Mandirigma’ opens in Philippine cinemas nationwide on December 17, 2025. (with reports from Loyd Pino)
