Content creator Boss Toyo has officially introduced a new digital series centered on an original local superhero called ‘Raketman,’ with its first episode now streaming on his Facebook page.

In interviews with the media, Boss Toyo shared that the concept of ‘Raketman’ was inspired by ordinary Filipinos who hustle daily to make ends meet and support their families.
He explained during a media conference that the series reflects the life of the typical Filipino who relies on raket—or practical side hustles and diskarte—to survive. According to him, the story mirrors the reality of many Filipinos who juggle work, family responsibilities, and community involvement just to earn a living.
Beyond entertainment, Boss Toyo emphasized that the series aims to inspire viewers. He said many audiences, especially working Filipinos with strong family values and a desire to help others, would be able to relate to the story, adding that ‘Raketman’ is meant for every Filipino.
Boss Toyo also noted the lack of new Filipino superheroes in recent years, which motivated him to create one. He recalled that iconic characters like ‘Lastikman’, ‘Darna’, and ‘Panday’ once dominated local pop culture but said it has been a long time since a new Pinoy superhero emerged—prompting him to create a character he believes Filipinos can embrace and call their own.
In real life known as Jayson Luzadas, Boss Toyo produced, directed, and stars in the series—marking his first time taking on all three major creative roles in a single project. The story follows an ordinary Filipino trying to provide for his family, drawing heavily from Boss Toyo’s own experiences before gaining popularity online through various jobs and businesses.
Joining him in ‘Raketman’ are his wife Joy, along with Kiko Matos, Princess Tan, Princess Loreto, Armando, Prof. Rudy, Mommy Gangster, Maria Tings, and several other online personalities.
The series was written by Rodfil Macasero of Moymoy Palaboy, co-directed by Brian Kierdyne, and edited by Louie Ong.
‘Raketman’ premiered on December 15 and is available on Facebook, YouTube via Boss Toyo Production, and TikTok. A possible theatrical release is currently being considered, with Boss Toyo saying the project is still “testing the waters.” He also revealed that the storyline is already mapped out up to Season 5, signaling long-term plans for the series.
