Cup of Joe tops Spotify Wrapped 2025 as Filipino artists defined this year’s music top list

Spotify has officially launched its highly anticipated 2025 Wrapped campaign — delivering a bigger and bolder experience that is more captivating, more layered, and more revealing than ever before. Beginning today, eligible users in the Philippines can access their personalized Wrapped experience in the Spotify app.

2025 Wrapped reveals how Filipinos gravitated toward music that is honest, emotional, and grounded in everyday experiences.

Baguio-hailed band Cup of Joe’s “Multo” claimed the Top Local Song in the Philippines, and the group earned the titles of Top Local Artist and Top Local Group. Their blend of melodic arrangements, relatable lyricism, and heartfelt delivery made their music a familiar presence across many listening moments this year.

Reflecting on the milestone, Cup of Joe shared: “It’s incredibly overwhelming to see our songs become part of people’s playlists and their big moments this year — it reminds us that we’ve somehow become part of their story. Knowing that someone found comfort or connection in our music is one of the best feelings. We’re excited to grow, experiment, and share more pieces of ourselves with our listeners.”

They share the spotlight with fellow Filipino acts whose diverse sounds defined this year’s Top Local Songs. Earl Agustin’s “Tibok” landed at #2 with its melodic groove, followed by Dionela’s “Marilag” (#3), a soulful standout. Amiel Sol’s “Sa Bawat Sandali” took #4 spot with its reflective tone, while HELLMERRY’s “My Day” completed the list at #5 with its hip-hop edge.

Podcasts also remained a strong part of Filipinos’ listening this year, with many seeking out stories that feel relatable and familiar. Filipinos turned to intimate storytelling, laugh-out-loud conversations, and even spine-tingling narratives.

Barangay Love Stories (#1) once again landed as the Top Podcast in the Philippines. It was followed by Papa Dudut Stories (#2) and Will Talks (#3), both known for their conversation-led, advice-driven formats. Sitio Bangungot (#5) took the final spot, bringing their narrative-driven horror to this year’s list.

Reflecting on this milestone, Barangay Love Stories shared, “Having such a strong community behind Barangay Love Stories means everything to us. Our listeners aren’t just tuning in — they’re part of every story we tell. This milestone inspires us to continue sharing heartfelt tales that reflect the love, life, and experiences of Filipinos.”

Following the strong performance of long-time favorites, this year also saw notable new shows. Chicks 2 Go was the Top New Podcast (Group), reflecting the growing presence of dynamic, personality-driven formats that blend humor, personality, and everyday storytelling. Meanwhile, DAGOK TIME!, part of Spotify’s inaugural RADAR creator program, made its Wrapped debut as the Top New Podcast (Solo), marking a milestone year for emerging voices within the creator space.

Sophie Prime of DAGOK TIME! shared, “Being part of Spotify’s first RADAR Creators already meant a lot to me, so seeing my show now make it to the Wrapped charts is incredibly humbling. It’s a reminder that passion and authenticity can take you far, and it motivates me to keep showing up for the people who choose to listen.”

2025 Wrapped brings new ways to experience your year in listening, together.

This year’s experience brings together the classics fans know and love, plus new ways to connect and dig deeper into the stories and moments that made the year uniquely theirs. Users can also experience Wrapped at their own pace — with controls that let them adjust the speed, revisit moments, and navigate their highlights more freely.

Wrapped refreshes fan favorites such as Top Genres, which highlights the genres that shaped your year, while Top Song Quiz lets you guess which track truly defined your 2025. Top Artist Sprint visualizes how your top five artists shifted in your personal rankings month by month.

Debuting this year are new features such as Listening Age, which compares your musical taste to others in your age group; Top Albums, spotlighting the bodies of work you returned to the most; and Wrapped Clubs, which sorts listeners into one of six listening identities and reveals the role they play within each community. Another exciting addition is Wrapped Party – a new interactive feature that turns your listening data into a live competition you can play with friends. It’s the latest way to level up Wrapped, making it more exciting and fun than ever.

Spotify is also bringing the celebration directly to fans with unique pop-up destinations dedicated to the artists who defined 2025. In the Philippines, an installation inspired by Cup of Joe’s “Multo” takes over NEO Park at Seven/NEO in Bonifacio Global City from December 4 to 7 — an immersive interpretation of the track’s haunting ‘what ifs.’ The space is open to all Spotify users.
