Fans of Coco Martin are growing anxious after the actor-director appeared to hint that his hit action series ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ may be approaching its final chapter.

Speculation intensified after a Facebook post shared by cast member Mark Anthony Andaya, which featured Coco’s speech addressed to the cast and crew of the long-running series. In his message, Coco expressed deep gratitude to everyone involved in the production and acknowledged the challenges of working in the television and film industry.
“Unang-una, gusto kong samantalahin ‘yung pagkakataon na ‘to, siyempre, magpasalamat sa inyong lahat, sobra-sobra… Dahil alam naman nating lahat, lalo na sa mga gumagawa ng teleserye at pelikula, at sa mundo ng industriya ng showbiz, napakahirap po ng aming trabaho,” Coco said.
He also emphasized that mutual love and respect among the team played a key role in the show’s continued success and strong viewership.
“Kung hindi ko man kayo nakakausap isa-isa para magpasalamat sa inyo, pero kapag sinasama ko kayo sa anumang okasyon… sinasama ko kayo kasi proud na proud ako sa inyo,” he added.
What particularly caught fans’ attention, however, was Coco’s mention of a possible farewell party—something many interpreted as a sign that Batang Quiapo may soon wrap up.
“Sana sa farewell party ng Batang Quiapo, sana lahat, nando’n. Kasi po sa lahat ng pinaghirapan natin… gusto ko, mararamdaman ninyo at magiging memorable sa lahat ng naging parte ng serye ang farewell party natin. Kasi lahat tayo dito, naghirap. Lahat tayo dito, nagtulong-tulong,” Coco said.
Following the circulation of the speech, netizens quickly shared their concerns online. Some compared the show’s apparent shorter run to Coco’s previous long-running series ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’, which aired for nearly seven years.
Adding fuel to the speculation are reports claiming that ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’—which premiered on February 13, 2023—may air its final episode as early as January 2, earlier than its initially rumored February or March 2026 conclusion. The series currently airs on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, and TV5.
Industry insiders speculate that the possible early wrap-up may be connected to issues between ABS-CBN and TV5, particularly the reported termination of their TV Content Supply Agreement. The notice of termination was reportedly received by ABS-CBN on December 4, allegedly due to unpaid obligations—claims which ABS-CBN has denied in a lengthy explanation.
Despite the rumors, no official statement has yet been released by the network or the production confirming the show’s end date.
Should ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’ indeed conclude earlier than expected, reports say Coco Martin is already set to develop a new series for TV5, though details about the project remain under wraps.
For now, fans can only wait and see what 2026 holds for Coco Martin and ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’.
