The band InnerVoices has officially launched its Christmas song ‘Pasko Sa Ating Puso,’ offering what they describe as a simple yet meaningful musical gift to Filipino families this holiday season.
According to Atty. Rey Bergado, leader, vocalist, and keyboardist of the group, the song was created to bring lightness and celebration amid the many challenges the country continues to face.

“Sa panahon ngayon na maraming pinagdadaanan ang bansa natin, we just want to give a celebratory vibe. Iyong magaan and yet memorable,” Bergado said. He added that the song reflects the true spirit of Christmas. “After all, Christmas is about family, celebration, and most importantly, about Jesus. The song wishes everyone happiness during the season, pero more than that, sana magkaroon lahat ng kapayapaan.”
Vocalist Patrick Marcelino expressed his gratitude for being entrusted with the interpretation of the song, noting that while it is the band’s second Christmas release, this is the first holiday track he was asked to lead vocally.
“It’s actually their second Christmas song pero ito iyong una na ipinagkatiwala na i-interpret ko,” Marcelino shared. He also highlighted the song’s fresh sound, saying, “It’s something new also kasi it has a rock twist.”
Marcelino added that the release is also a form of thanksgiving for the band, which remained active throughout the year with gigs, shows, and recordings.
“This is also our way of thanking the Lord for the manifold blessings we receive and to the people who continue to support our music,” he said.
In addition to ‘Pasko Sa Ating Puso,’ InnerVoices has released several original Filipino compositions, including ‘Shadows,’ ‘I Will Wait for You in the Rain,’ and ‘Saksi ang mga Tala.’ ‘Shadows’ was composed by Atty. Rey Bergado and arranged by Edward Mitra. Other songs by the band such as ‘Meant to Be,’ ‘Handa Na Kitang Mahalin,’ ‘Galaw,’ ‘Tubig Hangin Apoy Lupa,’ and ‘Idlip’ are currently available on various digital streaming platforms.
The band also recently reflected on a challenging but meaningful year during a December 4 press conference in Makati, where Bergado spoke about the changes the group experienced in 2025.
“Sobrang nagpapasalamat ako na we’re still here, kasi 2025 was very challenging for us. We had major change. Of course, bago yung singer namin; he just came in last April,” Bergado said. “And we went through some pains and challenges. Kasi siyempre mahirap yon, ‘no? [Yung] magpalit kayo ng frontman. And we had to re-organize the band, reconfigure the band to answer yung mga trend ngayon. And, ayon! Sobrang pasalamat ko dahil we’re still here in front of you and we’re still making music.”
Looking ahead, Bergado shared the group’s excitement for what’s next.
“Magre-release kami ng mas magaganda pang mga kanta. We believe na yung ilalabas namin… ikinasaya namin e, so we hope na mas magugustuhan ng mga makikinig,” he said.
InnerVoices is composed of Atty. Rey Bergado, Patrick Marcelino (vocals), Rene Tecson (guitar), Alvin Herbon (bass), Joseph Cruz (keyboard and vocals), and Joseph Esparrago (drums, percussion, and vocals).
‘Pasko Sa Ating Puso’ is now available on major digital music platforms, serving as InnerVoices’ reminder that despite hardships, the Christmas season remains a time for faith, gratitude, and renewed hope. (with reports from Loyd Pino)
