Fans of the WillCa tandem found themselves in the spotlight after a video of Bianca de Vera visibly emotional during a block screening went viral on social media.

The incident took place during the ‘Love You So Bad’ block screening held on January 7, 2026, at SM Aura Premier, where Bianca and her co-star Will Ashley were present to thank supporters.
In the circulating clip, Bianca is seen tearing up while standing in front of the audience alongside Ashley, prompting online speculation that she may have felt uncomfortable or disrespected during the event.
In response, the WillCa Team Live released a detailed clarification through its verified X (formerly Twitter) account, firmly denying claims that Bianca was disrespected.
According to the group, the screening—organized by the “Lolas of WillCa”—was intended to be lighthearted and casual. They explained that jokes exchanged among attendees, including remarks about having “graduated” from high school and the wearing of toga caps, were part of an inside joke responding to past online mockery labeling fans as “high school students.”
“The toga caps worn during the event were part of this lighthearted humor… There was no intention to mock, belittle, or disrespect anyone,” the statement read, while acknowledging that such symbolism could be misinterpreted outside its original context.
The group also clarified that the playing of farewell-themed songs such as “Huling Sayaw” unexpectedly stirred strong emotions among attendees, many of whom had spent months supporting the film’s promotions. Some fans reportedly became teary-eyed even before Bianca and Will arrived.
“When we were informed that WillCa was about to arrive, efforts were made to compose ourselves,” the statement continued. “However, when they entered the cinema, emotions naturally heightened. Bianca De Vera became emotional upon seeing that some of us were already in tears.”
Team Live stressed that Bianca’s reaction came from a genuine exchange of appreciation and love between the actress and her fans, not from discomfort or distress.
“At no point during the event was Bianca disrespected,” the group emphasized. “The reactions she witnessed were not acts of mockery, provocation, or performance, but honest expressions of gratitude, relief, and emotional release.”
We would like to formally clarify that the circulating claim stating that Bianca De Vera was disrespected during the block screening organized by the Lolas of WillCa is inaccurate.

The organization also condemned the doxxing and harassment reportedly directed at some of its members following the controversy, warning that appropriate action would be taken if such behavior continues.
As of this writing, neither Will Ashley nor Bianca de Vera has released an official statement regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, the ‘Love You So Bad’ stars—Bianca de Vera, Will Ashley, and Dustin Yu—are currently in the United Arab Emirates. The trio flew to Dubai to participate in the Metro Manila Film Festival’s overseas event, ‘Konsyerto Para sa Filipino,’ a free concert for the Filipino community held on January 10 at the Dubai Exhibition Center in Expo City, as part of activities tied to the Metro Manila Film Festival.
